Life After My Juice Fast Continues

Tim here with a 'life after juice fasting' update for you today.

It is Friday over here, Friday 9th September here in Australia. And I just wanted to do a quick update to let you know that things are going well. This is the start of my fourth day after my 56 day juice fast. If you haven't seen my YouTube videos, go and take a look at those. Because I have got a video for every single day on my 56 day juice fast. I updated every day with how much weight I lost, progress, how I felt, what sort of juices I was having, and so on and so forth. So there's lots of information about that.

And in yesterday's video I asked the question whether people would be interested in an e-book, giving a bit of an overview of my journey but also giving things like recipes and shortcuts and tips. Lots of people said yes, so, good news! I am going to actually create that e-book. It is going to take me a little while to compile that information. What I am going to do is get the information out of the videos and put that into a booklet type form, an ebook. And then I'm going to give you the mechanism to download it. It's going to have as much information as possible. I will put all the juices I used, the recipes, how I felt, things to watch out for, how to get out of those difficult tough spots when you're really wanting to eat and so forth. And what I did to basically succeed in my 56 day juice fast.



I am going to get that for you and actually get a copy of it. As soon as I have got it down I am going to let you know and make that available for download. Yes, it will be free. No problems there. I am going to give as much information about it as I can anyway.

Today I gained about 0.3 of a kilo, which is about 0.6 pounds. Which means, since my juice fast completed, which again, this is the start of Day 4, after it, I have gained just under 1 pound. Now, for those who are wondering, you know, why is he gaining weight? Research I did before I started said that often people did gain weight after a juice fast. And that is because when you are on a juice fast, what happens is you are just having the juices, you're not having any fibre. And the body is absorbing most of that nutrition very very quickly. Consequently you are not getting much in your body. There's not a lot of waste in your intestines waiting to be excreted out of your body. As opposed to eating of course, when you have got a lot of waste that is permanently - well, I shouldn't say waste, but a lot of food that is in the stages of digestion, going through your intestines and so forth. And some people have a gain of 3 or 4 pounds, you know, 2 or 3 kilos or more. So I don't mind having gained 0.4 [sic] of a kilo overall, which is about, under 1 pound. I know that weight is going to come off.

And that is the other overwhelming thing as well. If you keep on track, keep eating the the right raw food and the right things, after your juice fast, that weight will come off. So the last thing that I should do now is think, Oh, my weight is going up, I may as well give up and go back to the way I was eating before. No! Keep on it! So, in this case I am going to keep on eating my foods, my healthy foods, and I know this weight will come off. Because I am continuing to exercise, and it is just a matter of time before it comes off.

But I think we're at a point now, where I would expect from now on, days moving forward, that my weight is going to start going down. And I will keep you updated. Because I have got a few more days to go before my holiday, or vacation as you say in the US, starts. So I will be able to weigh myself tomorrow, and the day after. I will keep you updated with that.

Obviously while I am away, I will be on holiday for 6 nights. I won't be able to weighing myself over there. I will keep you up to date.

In terms of what I am eating, I am eating good foods completely. I am off dairy completely. At this stage I haven't had any meat. So I have had no meat, no dairy, basically since I started my juice fast actually. And what I am having is lots of vegetables, nuts, legumes, seeds, those types of things. To give you a bit of a rundown on yesterday's evening meal, I had basically a fruit platter with seeds as well. A mixture of fruits and nuts. I had a few dates. Some apples, some orange. A bit of banana, and a few strawberries. All together on a plate. Absolutely beautiful! And really, really healthy for you.

And for lunch yesterday I had my vegan vegetable stew. I talked about that in my previous video. I actually made a stew from about 12 different vegetables, mixed it all together in a pot, put some carrots in there. It's all based on the Eat To Health book, by Dr. Joel Fuhrmann. I told you in another video what the page was for that particular recipe. Quite nice!

I don't know if you can hear that outside, it is pouring with rain outside, over here in Australia. But I digress.

Anyway, I am going to leave it there for now. Everything is still on track. I am still quite happy with my progress. Still feeling good. Still feeling energised and vibrant. And I know that I am doing the right thing. And I am not getting at all worried about the fact, again, that I have gained more weight. Ideally I would have preferred not to have gained any weight. But the fact that I have only gained that small amount of weight in the period of time since finishing my juice fast is apparently quite normal.

And if you think about it logically it does make sense. Because you are going to be heavier, because you are ingesting the full food instead of just drinking the juice. So I guess, to be fair, I should have probably more expected to gain some. But the fact that I have only gained that little bit of weight I think is testament to the fact that I am still eating the right things and I am still exercising. And I think that if I had gone off track here, and started eating bad foods, or wasn't exercising, the weight gain would have been a lot higher. So I think that - you know - reining it back in, so to speak.

And I am looking forward to seeing how it goes over the next week, particularly when I get back from vacation. Because again, I am going to be very careful what I am eating over there. And I am sure that the weight is going to start going down. And I will keep you up to date on that.
